I would try it over the top of the sock for running. You might also get by cutting it so that a 1"-2" piece runs under your foot at your instep. <br /><br />You might need to tape the ends to your sock in a few places to get your shoes laced shut. Never tried it for running, but it should work. I would recommend knee socks to keep your feet wicked dry.
